SLHS is guided by the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther, whose work helped spark the 16th-century Reformation. These teachings emphasize three guiding truths: Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Scripture Alone. While our faith perspective is Lutheran, students and families of all faith backgrounds are welcome to join our Christ-centered community.

No. Springfield Lutheran High School welcomes students from all backgrounds. That said, SLHS is a faith-based school, and all aspects of school life—academics, relationships, and activities—are approached from a Christian worldview.

All students participate in chapel and faith-based learning experiences. These are designed to be welcoming, reflective, and educational, helping every student explore faith and character in a supportive environment.

A Christ-centered community is one where we seek to keep Jesus at the center of everything we do, and every student, teacher, and family member is known, valued, and encouraged. Relationships are built on grace, forgiveness, and mutual respect, and students are supported as they grow spiritually, academically, and personally.
