She graduated magna cum laude with a BSEd degree from MSU in mathematics and business, and she received an MEd from Drury in Middle School Education.

Mary Ann served as Clerk of the Probate Court of Boone County before starting her teaching career. She taught algebra at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, MO, and Pershing Middle School. After retiring from teaching, she worked as an office administrator at Tomo Drug Testing.

While raising her sons and working, Mary Ann volunteered in the PTA, the Greene County Medical Society Alliance, and at Trinity Lutheran Church. More recently, she volunteered with the Math and Reading Buddy programs at Weller and Pittman Elementary Schools and accompanied school choirs at Hickory Hills, Pipkin, and Springfield Lutheran School.

  • Stephanie is a passionate leader, connector, and lifelong learner who finds joy in following wherever the Lord leads. Her early years began at Springfield Lutheran School (SLS), where she attended through 8th grade, and later returned as the first alum to serve on the school’s governing body, serving as Secretary from 2009-2017.

She earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude and began her career in diagnostic imaging, while also teaching courses at an allied health college, and eventually launching a breast MRI department—an experience that sparked her passion for operations and project management. She went on to earn an Executive Master’s in Health Administration while working full-time and transitioning into a practice administrator role at a private dental practice, where she gained hands-on experience managing a business.

Since then, God has led her into roles in startups, nonprofit marketing, and education—with a consistent focus on families, children, and outreach—including her most recent role as school librarian at SLS. Stephanie and her family are active members of their church, where she leads a women’s life group and is passionate about building a faith-centered community.

Stephanie and her husband have one daughter, a third-generation Lutheran school student. Their family deeply values Christian education, and they are grateful to be a part of what God is doing in and through SLHS.

  • Pastor Marler holds a Missouri lifetime teaching certificate for grades 7-12. He taught English and coached football at Republic, MO, High School before changing his major in graduate school and his goal of becoming a professor of English to becoming a professor of religious studies. That decision led him to Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. While a Seminary student, he served at Lutheran High School South in St. Louis, where he taught English, Psychology, and New Testament, and served as a pastoral counselor in the guidance department. He oversaw the school’s substance-abuse program.

He holds a B.S.Ed from Missouri State, a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and pursued post-graduate studies in Church History at Concordia and St. Louis University.

  • Amy brings a wealth of knowledge about Lutheran school education to our team, as she has worked (and continues to work) as the secretary at Springfield Lutheran School for the last 11 years.

Previously, she worked as an auditor at a local accounting firm. She brings to our treasurer position a Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness Management and Accountancy as well as a Master's degree in Accountancy.

Amy is a lifelong Lutheran and attended a Lutheran grade school herself. Both of her children attended SLS, and she can attest to the importance of a Christian education as the foundation of a child's life. She looks forward to helping SLHS offer students the opportunity to strengthen their faith while growing in knowledge.

  • Daniel is a lifelong resident of Springfield, MO. He attended Ozarks Technical Community College under the A+ Program. Daniel completed a Bachelor of Science in Education, magna cum laude, at Missouri State University, where he also earned a Master of Art in History. His capstone work researched and examined church compliance with the edicts of the English monarchy, Edward VI and Mary I, and acceptance of Protestant teachings.

Daniel’s strengths are a serving heart, responsibility, and empathy. He seeks to use those strengths as he grows in faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A lifelong baptized and communicant member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Daniel has performed in the choir, chimes, bell choir, and string ensemble, where he plays viola. He did missionary and evangelism work with the T.R.U.T.H. Puppeteers. Daniel has served as custodian, night manager, and assistant manager for Trinity’s Martin’s Fireworks. He has served on Trinity’s Fireworks Committee, the Stewardship Committee, the Board of Parish Education, and the Church Council. He is the congregation’s Vice President and Legal Officer, and chairs the Church Council.

Daniel is excited to share his love for our Lord and Savior, world history, and service with SLHS students. He trusts in the promises of his confirmation verse, Psalm 46:1: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

  • As a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for the past ten years, Hannah’s faith is at the core of her teaching philosophy. With a Master of Science in Chemistry and a passion for faith-based education, she is excited to work with Springfield Lutheran High School to bring her expertise in science and writing to students.

Hannah was previously employed as a course coordinator for a chemistry lab at Missouri State University and as a substitute teacher in the Rogersville school district. Within these roles, she consistently engaged in classroom management, developed teaching materials, and created techniques to explain complex topics in a memorable way. Hannah has also worked as a technical writer for a pharmaceutical company, where she primarily wrote guidelines and instructions that were easily readable to both non-specialists and industry professionals.
Hannah believes that there is great beauty in natural laws that God created, which can be studied through scientific theories. Also, communication is key to ensure that learned knowledge is useful, functional, and can be passed on to others.

Hannah is dedicated to crafting engaging and meaningful learning experiences for students by integrating scientific inquiry and literary analysis to explore the beauty of God’s creation.

  • Tim finds joy in serving SLHS and our Christian community, as well as the professional challenges and opportunities for new relationships. Tim was involved when Springfield Lutheran School’s 6th-8th grades came to Trinity in the late 1990’s, so there’s a bit of nostalgia in serving SLHS.

Tim served 21 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He taught at SLS for five years and at Zion Lutheran School in Kansas for three years. After 14 years at Pipkin Middle School, where he served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal, he retired again. Tim visited schools from Diamond, MO, to Bronx, NY, consulting with school administrators and sharpening their focus on instructional leadership. Following the pandemic, Tim taught middle school science virtually.

Tim earned a BS in Technology from Bradley University, an MBA from the University of North Dakota, an MS in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a BS in Education from Concordia University-Seward. He holds certificates in Middle School Education from Drury University and School Leadership from Pittsburg State University.

Tim strives to be Discipulus fidelis Christi, Peracta Scholar, Servi Alii. He looks forward to partnering with parents to help students become faithful disciples of Christ, accomplished scholars, and servants to others.
