The Curriculum at SLHS
-
SLHS is a school where faith and academics go hand in hand. Christ is the cornerstone of our education—we are not just a school with religion; we are a school where faith is woven into every subject, from history to biology. Students participate in daily prayer and devotions, attend weekly chapel, and learn from faculty who serve as Christian role models. Your child will be known, supported, and loved as part of a community dedicated to forming faithful disciples of Christ and accomplished scholars who joyfully serve others.
-
At SLHS, smaller class sizes create a close-knit, Christ-centered community where students thrive academically and socially. Teachers know each student personally, guiding learning, fostering participation, and mentoring them daily.
Our comprehensive, four-year curriculum, taught by Christian, state-certified teachers, prepares students for college and beyond, while meeting diverse learning needs in a supportive, structured environment.
-
The SLHS curriculum includes meaningful Expedition Learning experiences that connect students with the community and the world around them. These hands-on opportunities focus on careers, entrepreneurship, service learning, community engagement, and—of course—fun. Through Expedition Learning, students explore real-world challenges, develop practical skills, and grow as active, thoughtful members of their community.
