SLHS students extended their learning beyond the classroom on Friday, May 1, by visiting the Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium for a second look at land and sea creatures beyond the textbook. Our thanks to tour guide Dan Lyons, Trinity member and a docent at WOW, for guiding us through and providing additional information on the exhibits. Thanks also to the Lyons for providing the students with complimentary tickets.

Following biology with Mrs. Hannah Thompson and Mrs. Barbara Watkins as the staff in charge, students enjoyed a Chick-fil-A lunch with Principal Tim Zeigler and Mrs. Dorris. The afternoon was spent in the art world at Firehouse Pottery. Students selected a piece of pottery, applied glazes, and visited the kilns where their artwork will be fired.
