Experience SLHS Visit Day

Last week, SLHS enjoyed a wonderful visit from 7th- and 8th-grade students from Trinity Lutheran School in Freistatt, MO, who joined us on Wednesday, January 21 for an Experience SLHS Day. Students toured the campus before chapel, where Rev. Steve Moser from Redeemer Lutheran Church led a meaningful chapel focused on liturgy, Lutheran worship traditions, and who we are in Christ.

Guests also experienced classroom life firsthand by attending Pastor Marler’s Old Testament class, learning about daily life at SLHS through student and staff presentations, and participating in fun, hands-on learning—Mr. Straw led a Reformation-themed Jeopardy game, and Mrs. Watkins introduced probability with a game of Skunk. Executive Director Stephanie Grandestaff closed the day by sharing the history and future of SLHS.

Thank you to Trinity Lutheran School, Freistatt, for making the trip—we loved hosting you! 💙
