Faith Formation & Service

Guided by Christ in Everything We Do

Spiritual Growth in Our Christ-Centered Community

  • Faith in the classroom: Teachers intentionally weave faith into every subject, helping students see Christ in all areas of learning.

  • Daily devotions: Students reflect on God’s Word each day, nurturing their personal faith.

  • Weekly chapel services: Led by local Lutheran pastors, along with church workers, students, and special guests, creating a rich and engaging worship experience.

  • Family involvement: Families are always welcome to join us in chapel and fellowship.

Christian Service: Joyfully Serving Others

At SLHS, we believe that living out our faith means joyfully serving others. Our students participate in a variety of service projects, both in the classroom and throughout the community, putting Christ’s love into action.

  • Classroom service projects: Students engage in meaningful activities that help those around them, from creating care packages to supporting local ministries.

  • Community outreach: Our school partners with local organizations, allowing students to volunteer, lend a helping hand, and make a real difference in people’s lives.

  • Spirit of giving: Through these projects, students learn the joy and responsibility of serving others, discovering how small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact.

  • Family and community involvement: Families have the opportunity to participate through our Founding Family Program, joining service projects and strengthening our faith-filled community together.

At SLHS, service is more than an activity—it’s a way of life, helping students live out Christ’s teachings every day.
